Traverse City, Mich. – December 6, 2023 – Promethient, the developers of Thermavance technology for human-scaled climate control, has named Todd Fletemier as Vice President of Operations.
Fletemier joins Promethient from Faurecia, one of the world’s largest suppliers of automotive and mobility industry technology, where he had been vice president of strategy & research development.
“As Promethient continues to expand Thermavance’s revolutionary solutions for thermal comfort into new market verticals, Todd’s leadership and seating systems experience will be an invaluable addition to our team,” said Bill Myers, CEO of Promethient. “Moreover, as a past member of the Promethient Board of Directors, Todd has extensive knowledge of our company and technology, as well as the global seating market and will provide an immediate impact.”
Promethient’s proprietary technology combines thermally conductive graphene material with solid state heat pumping to conductively cool or heat seat occupants, even in applications directly exposed to the elements.
In his previous role, Fletemier focused on advanced strategy, emerging market segment research, cooperative relationships with government entities, and identifying and developing new technology via startups. Fletemier has served as the representative on the Boards of Directors for three startup entities in which Faurecia had invested. In previous roles, Fletemier served as Vice President of the General Motors Global Customer Division at Faurecia Interiors and worked various capacities for IAC, Lear and Defiance Engineering Services.
